Manage Your Time More Effectively
When you aren’t sure how to prioritize, or even what your top priorities are, it is difficult to manage your time effectively. You will spend time doing something that feels important but isn’t necessarily urgent. At the end of the day even though you marked a task off your list, you still feel behind, and you still feel like you didn’t get anything done.
Decision making becomes easier
Once you know where your prime concerns are, you can make fast decisions with confidence, because you already know exactly what you want and where you’re going.
Boundaries are easier to uphold
If you over-extend yourself and say yes to all the things, you will find yourself in the situation described above where you don’t have enough time in your day for it all, or you spend time on things that aren’t appropriately urgent/important. Conversely, it's also easier to say "yes" because you know how far you can extend yourself, and you know when you will need breaks to do different things. Don't forget about taking care of yourself.
