Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Clinician — LMHC / LMHCA

Location: Washington State Residency and Licensure

Practice Type: Group Private Practice

Position: LMHC or LMHCA

Schedule: Fully flexible / clinician-directed

Pay: Based on licensure level

About Us

We are a clinician-centered mental health group practice built around the belief that clinicians do their best work when they have autonomy, support, and room to be human.

We are looking for a Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) to join our growing group. We can work with pending statuses, please inquire.

We understand that no two clinicians have the same capacity, career goals, ideal caseload, or definition of being "full." Our practice is designed to support clinicians in building a sustainable career, not to maximize the number of clients on your calendar.

Our Commitment to Representation & Inclusive Care

Our practice serves communities that have historically experienced barriers to mental health care and are often underserved or underrepresented within traditional healthcare systems.

Our clients come from a wide range of backgrounds and lived experiences, including different cultures and racial backgrounds, people with disabilities, neurodivergent individuals, immigrants and people navigating cultural transitions, LGBTQ+ communities, and other historically underserved communities.

We believe representation matters. Clients deserve the opportunity to work with clinicians who understand aspects of their experiences, not only through education and professional training, but through lived experience and genuine cultural understanding.

We are particularly interested in clinicians who bring lived experience related to the communities we serve, including but not limited to:

  • Cultural, racial, or ethnic minority experiences

  • Disability and/or chronic disability

  • Neurodivergence

  • Immigration, acculturation, or being part of an immigrant family

  • LGBTQ+ identity and community experiences

  • Gender diverse identity experiences

  • Experiences navigating socioeconomic barriers

  • Experiences as a first-generation professional or college student

  • Religious or cultural minority experiences

  • Other experiences of marginalization, underrepresentation, or barriers to accessing mental health care

You do not need to identify with a particular category to be a strong candidate. We are looking for clinicians who approach differences with humility, curiosity, respect, and a willingness to continue learning.

We value both professional expertise and the knowledge that comes from living in the communities we serve.

A Minority-Owned Practice

Our practice is certified as a Minority-Owned Business through the Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE).

Our two owners collectively represent four intersecting minority identities, and our commitment to diversity is reflected not only in the clients we serve, but in how we approach our practice, our workplace, and our relationships with clinicians.

We believe diversity is not a marketing category. It affects how people experience healthcare, how clinicians experience workplaces, and how trust is built between providers and the people seeking care.

We want to build a practice where clinicians with diverse identities and experiences can bring their whole selves to their work.

What We Offer

Full Schedule Autonomy

Your schedule belongs to you. There is no traditional time-off request process and no expectation that you justify when you are unavailable. Simply mark yourself as unavailable on the shared calendar.

You determine:

  • Your working days and hours

  • Your availability

  • Your caseload

  • When you are accepting new clients

  • When you need to reduce your caseload or take a break

We do ask that rescheduling appointments be kept to a minimum so that clients have consistency and reliable access to care.

Free Supervision for LMHCAs

LMHCAs receive free clinical supervision as part of joining the practice. We do provide supervision to other clinicians and normally charge $175/hr for this service. We want associates to have the support they need to grow into confident, independent clinicians without adding the financial burden of supervision on top of everything else that comes with beginning a career. We are excited to have the privilege to offer this opportunity.

Optional Consultation for Fully Licensed Clinicians

Licensed clinicians have access to free optional clinical consultation. Consultation is available when you want another perspective, want to talk through a challenging case, or simply want the benefit of a collaborative clinical environment.

There is no requirement to participate if you prefer to practice independently.

Full Administrative Support

You became a therapist to provide therapy, not to spend your evenings fighting with insurance companies.

Our administrative team handles the operational side of the practice, including:

  • Credentialing

  • Insurance contracts and maintenance

  • Billing

  • Client communications

  • Administrative coordination

  • Scheduling support

  • Other routine administrative tasks

Our goal is to allow you to spend more of your time doing the work only you can do: providing excellent clinical care.

Burnout-Aware Caseload Management

We believe clinicians should be able to recognize and manage their own capacity before reaching a crisis point. There is no universal definition of a "full" caseload.

For one clinician, full might mean 20 clients. For another, it might mean 10. For someone else, it may change throughout their career.

We ask clinicians to monitor their own compassion fatigue, burnout, and overall capacity and communicate with us when they are no longer accepting new clients. Our Clinical Director, Michela, has specialized training in compassion fatigue and can assist clinicians in navigating their capacity and sustainability. We would rather have a clinician say, "I'm full right now," than continue accepting referrals until they are overwhelmed.

Free Business Coaching

Have a private practice, or want to build one?

We welcome clinicians who maintain their own private practices and offer free business coaching to help clinicians develop sustainable practices and reach their professional goals.

We can support areas such as:

  • Practice development

  • Business strategy

  • Marketing and referral development

  • Caseload building

  • Professional growth

  • Private-practice operations

  • Balancing group practice work with your independent practice

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking clinicians who:

  • Hold an active Washington State LMHC or LMHCA credential

  • Practice ethically and within their scope of competence

  • Value client autonomy and collaborative care

  • Are able to maintain daily executive functioning especially in calendar management

  • Are committed to providing quality, client-centered mental health services

  • Can maintain appropriate clinical documentation and professional standards

  • Communicate effectively with clients and the practice's administrative team

  • Are able to manage their own clinical capacity and recognize signs of burnout or compassion fatigue

  • Appreciate autonomy and independence while still valuing access to consultation and support

  • Are comfortable working with clients from backgrounds and experiences different from their own

  • Practice from a culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and inclusive framework

  • Value the perspectives and lived experiences of underserved and historically marginalized communities

Lived experience is valued. If you have personal experience navigating disability, neurodivergence, cultural or racial marginalization, immigration, LGBTQ+ identity, socioeconomic barriers, or another experience that informs the way you understand and support clients, we want to hear from you.

We are interested in clinicians who can bring both professional expertise and authentic understanding to their work.

This Group Practice May Be a Good Fit If...

You want a group practice where:

  • You aren't micromanaged.

  • You don't have to ask permission to take a day off.

  • Your caseload isn't treated like a productivity quota.

  • You can say "I'm full" without having to defend what full means.

  • You have access to supervision without paying an additional supervision fee.

  • You can practice independently while still having a professional community.

  • You can maintain your own private practice.

  • You aren't locked into a non-compete.

  • Your clients' relationships with you are respected.

  • Someone else handles credentialing and billing.

  • You aren't expected to become an expert in insurance administration.

  • Your professional goals are supported, even if those goals eventually take you outside of our group.

  • Your lived experience is viewed as a strength rather than something you need to leave at the door.

Join Us

We are building a practice where clinicians are treated like professionals, not productivity units.

We believe good mental healthcare requires more than clinical credentials. It requires trust, representation, cultural humility, flexibility, and an understanding that both clients and clinicians are whole people.

If you are looking for a practice environment that offers independence, administrative support, professional development, and a genuine respect for your capacity and lived experience, we'd love to hear from you.

LMHCs and LMHCAs residing in Washington State are encouraged to apply.
