ABOUT ALYSSA
Alyssa Herriges-Dalsing is a strategic leader, systems thinker, and coach who is passionate about helping people and organizations create systems that are more inclusive, efficient, sustainable, and aligned with how people actually function.
With experience spanning multiple industries, Alyssa has developed a strong ability to look beyond surface-level problems and identify the systems, structures, and patterns contributing to them. She works with business owners, practice owners, organizational leaders, and individuals to understand what isn't working, why it isn't working, and what could be designed differently.
Her work is grounded in the belief that many challenges attributed to individual performance, organizational culture, or a lack of motivation are actually influenced by the systems surrounding people. By examining processes, expectations, environments, and structures, she helps clients identify opportunities for meaningful, sustainable change.
Business, Private Practice & Organizational Coaching
Alyssa works with business owners, mental health practice owners, leaders, nonprofits, and organizations to strengthen the systems behind their work. Her experience includes foundation-level work with multiple nonprofit organizations, as well as broader experience across multiple industries. This background allows her to approach organizational challenges from both operational and strategic perspectives, with an appreciation for the unique demands of mission-driven work and service-based businesses.
She is particularly interested in supporting mental health practice owners who are balancing clinical responsibilities, business operations, ethical obligations, employee needs, and the long-term sustainability of their practices. Running a practice requires more than clinical expertise. It also requires systems for hiring, onboarding, documentation, communication, compliance, delegation, decision-making, and day-to-day operations. When these systems are unclear, inefficient, or overly dependent on the owner, even a successful practice can become difficult to sustain.
Alyssa helps business leaders step back from the daily demands of running an organization to examine how their systems function as a whole. Coaching may explore operational inefficiencies, workflow design, role clarity, organizational structure, communication, leadership practices, policy development, delegation, and the relationship between business goals and the realities of the people responsible for achieving them.
Rather than assuming that every challenge requires more effort, more staff, or another productivity tool, Alyssa helps clients examine the underlying problem. Where is unnecessary complexity creating friction? Which responsibilities depend too heavily on one person? What processes have developed out of necessity but no longer serve the organization? What needs to be clarified, simplified, documented, or redesigned?
Her approach combines strategic thinking, operational efficiency, inclusive design, and human-centered problem solving to help organizations become more effective without losing sight of the people they serve or employ.
Alyssa is particularly interested in DEI, accessibility, neurodiversity, psychological safety, ethical practice, and sustainable organizational systems. Rather than viewing inclusion as a separate initiative, she believes it should be incorporated into the everyday structures of an organization, including policies, workflows, communication, leadership, expectations, and decision-making.
For mental health practice owners, this means recognizing that effective systems must support both the business and the people within it, including clinicians, administrative staff, and clients. Well-designed policies and workflows can help clarify expectations, reduce preventable confusion, support consistency, and create a stronger foundation for sustainable growth.
Alyssa believes that effective organizations don't have to choose between efficiency and humanity. Thoughtfully designed systems can make work more manageable, accessible, ethical, and sustainable while supporting the organization's broader goals.
Strategic Life Coaching for Autism & ADHD
Alyssa also provides strategic life coaching for autistic and ADHD adults who want to build systems, routines, and environments that work with their brains rather than constantly requiring them to work against themselves.
Her approach is strengths-based, systems-focused, practical, and individualized. Instead of relying on generic productivity advice or expecting clients to conform to systems that may not fit their needs, coaching explores the interaction between executive functioning, environment, expectations, energy, responsibilities, and daily life.
Coaching may focus on organization, planning, time and energy management, routines, transitions, communication, boundaries, self-advocacy, decision-making, reducing cognitive load, navigating overwhelm, and creating more sustainable ways of managing work and life.
For clients who own or operate businesses, coaching can also address the intersection of neurodivergence and entrepreneurship. Building a business can offer autonomy, creativity, and opportunities to work in alignment with personal strengths, but it can also introduce competing demands, administrative burdens, unpredictable responsibilities, and decision fatigue. Coaching can help clients develop personalized systems for managing these demands without assuming that conventional business practices are the only effective way to work.
The goal isn't to make someone more “normal,” productive by someone else's standards, or better at masking. It's to understand what creates friction and strategically redesign the systems around it.
