Absolutely. I’d incorporate the nonprofit experience as part of your broader organizational perspective, emphasizing that you understand both for-profit and mission-driven organizations.
About Alyssa
Alyssa Herriges-Dalsing is a strategic leader, systems thinker, and coach who is passionate about helping people and organizations create systems that are more inclusive, efficient, sustainable, and aligned with how people actually function.
With experience spanning multiple industries, Alyssa has developed a strong ability to look beyond surface-level problems and identify the systems, structures, and patterns contributing to them. Whether she is working with a business owner trying to streamline their operations or an autistic or ADHD adult trying to create a life that feels more manageable, her approach is rooted in the same question: What isn't working, why isn't it working, and what could be designed differently?
Business & Organizational Coaching
Alyssa works with business owners, leaders, nonprofits, and organizations to improve the systems behind their work. Her experience includes foundation-level work with multiple nonprofit organizations, giving her insight into the unique operational, strategic, and organizational considerations of mission-driven work. This experience complements her broader background across multiple industries and allows her to approach organizational challenges from both business and community-impact perspectives.
Her approach combines strategic thinking, operational efficiency, inclusive design, and human-centered problem solving to help organizations become more effective without losing sight of the people they serve or employ.
She is particularly interested in DEI, accessibility, neurodiversity, psychological safety, and sustainable organizational systems. Rather than viewing inclusion as a separate initiative, Alyssa believes it should be incorporated into the everyday structures of an organization, including policies, workflows, communication, leadership, expectations, and decision-making.
Her coaching can help identify unnecessary complexity, inefficient processes, organizational friction, communication challenges, and barriers to participation, then develop practical systems that support both the organization's goals and the people within it.
Alyssa believes that effective organizations don't have to choose between efficiency and humanity. Well-designed systems can make work easier, more accessible, more sustainable, and more effective for everyone.
Strategic Life Coaching for Autism & ADHD
Alyssa also provides strategic life coaching for autistic and ADHD adults who want to build systems, routines, and environments that work with their brains rather than constantly requiring them to work against themselves.
Her approach is strengths-based, systems-focused, practical, and individualized. Instead of relying on generic productivity advice or expecting clients to conform to systems that may not fit their needs, coaching explores the interaction between executive functioning, environment, expectations, energy, responsibilities, and daily life.
Coaching may focus on organization, planning, time and energy management, routines, transitions, communication, boundaries, self-advocacy, decision-making, reducing cognitive load, navigating overwhelm, and creating more sustainable ways of managing work and life.
The goal isn't to make someone more “normal,” productive by someone else's standards, or better at masking. It's to understand what creates friction and strategically redesign the systems around it.
Whether working with an entrepreneur building a business or an individual building a life, Alyssa's philosophy remains the same: people aren't problems to be fixed. Systems can be examined, adapted, and redesigned.
Alyssa approaches her work with curiosity, authenticity, radical acceptance, and a genuine interest in finding creative solutions to complex problems. She believes meaningful change often starts with asking better questions: Who does this system work for? Who does it unintentionally exclude? What is creating unnecessary friction? What could be simpler? And what would it look like to design something that actually works?
Outside of her professional work, Alyssa enjoys volunteering, riding horses, creative projects, and horror films. She values mutual growth, curiosity, authenticity, and creating space for people to pursue ambitious goals while still building lives that feel sustainable and meaningful.
